Scenario

One of the drawbacks of taking relief work at Jakarutu in the summer is the military activity. The Győrsmorabű is a “Closed Zone” which means that access to the area is restricted and the army, a militia based organisation, steps up the mandatory training of all Thalnians below the age of 40 during this season. Fridays usually see the arrival and departure of different contingents and today is no exception. The afternoon mixed (3663) is carrying military traffic and has been authorised to run loaded to 100t. The consist includes a van holding the soldiers’ packs and rifles which must be detached into the siding. The wagons which arrived this morning, containing supplies and ammunition, have been reloaded with the outgoing detachment's packs and rifles (under guard of course) These need returning to the junction by a special train. The train will arrive at 16.51 and is booked to depart at 18.12. Hopefully, if all goes to plan, you can get away for your evening meal at the usual time. If it doesn’t go to plan you could be left fielding complaints from the camp adjutant who expects to have the packs and rifles in camp by 18.30. The soldiers, little do they know it, are booked out on a night exercise tonight, in full kit.

Jakarutu station is unusual in that it is combined with the locoshed. It's a quiet hilltop village and the station provides a secluded spot for courting teenagers who wish to avoid their elders' scrutiny during the nightly passagiato.

Jakautu.  Clearances are shown in terms of a standard 4 wheel wagon.
